KICHIJOJI: Shanghai Fried Xiǎolóngbāo (Yaki-Shoronpo)... super juicy soupy!

A few years ago we randomly saw this location under construction and chatted up the owner who was overlooking the progress of the shop... This place has been around a solid 3 years and decided to give it a try.

I've had Shorompo but never fried like this.

100yen each... The exterior texture is almost like a fried burrito... with one bite the soup inside pours out so its suggested you bite a little piece off and drink the soup before eating the entire thing.  There is a little round piece of ground meat inside.

Waiting time 0 minutes on a Saturday at 5pm.

A few pieces will probably hit the spot but just wanted to give it a try so 1 was good enough for me.  I really liked the fried exterior but as for the soup and meat inside its a very familiar Shorompo.  If you have some spare change handy why not pick one up?
